Mirza Saad Baig scores maiden First-Class Century in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025

Islamabad: Pakistan Under-19 World Cup captain and wicketkeeper-batter Mirza Saad Baig showcased exceptional form in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2025, registering his maiden first-class century in the 10th match of the tournament.

Representing Islamabad, Mirza Saad Baig left-handed opener played a commanding innings of 154 runs off 196 deliveries, featuring 21 fours and one six, against Multan at the Margalla Cricket Ground. At 18 years and 347 days, this remarkable performance marks a significant milestone in his young career.

Interestingly, while Saad Baig served as Pakistan’s wicketkeeper during the ICC Under-19 World Cup, he has not taken up wicketkeeping duties in the Pakistan Super League (for Karachi Kings), the Hanif Mohammad Trophy, or the current Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

This innings not only highlights Saad Baig’s batting potential but also underscores his adaptability and growth as a top-order batter in Pakistan’s domestic circuit.
