ANF Sindh Conducts Anti Narcotics Awareness Session at NCR-CET College
Karachi: In a strong step toward building a safer and healthier future for youth, ANF Sindh, in collaboration with NCR-CET College, successfully conducted an anti narcotics awareness session at NCR-CET College. The session focused on educating students about the rising threat of drug abuse and the importance of prevention, awareness, and informed decision-making.
The event was graced by Assistant Director ANF DDR, Ms. Nida Memon, who attended as the Chief Guest. In her impactful address, she shed light on the social, psychological, and legal consequences of drug abuse. She emphasized the critical role students and young individuals play in combating narcotics by making responsible lifestyle choices and spreading awareness within their communities.
Adding a clinical and psychological perspective to the session, Dr. Sana Aslam, a renowned Clinical Psychologist, delivered an insightful talk on the mental and physical effects of drug use. She guided students on recognizing early warning signs, resisting peer pressure, and seeking timely help through counseling and rehabilitation support. Her session reinforced the idea that awareness and mental well-being are the first lines of defense against substance abuse.
The awareness program was attended by ANF Focal Person Sindh Mr. Hammad Anwar, Sub-Inspector Hamza Mehsud, along with other respected ANF officials and staff members who actively supported the initiative and interacted with students.
Director NCR-CET College, Mr. Ghulam Mehmood Desmukh, appreciated the efforts of ANF Sindh and highlighted the importance of such initiatives in shaping responsible, informed, and confident youth. He reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to hosting programs that promote student well-being, awareness, and social responsibility.
The session concluded with the presentation of shields and bouquets to the distinguished guests, followed by an engaging interactive discussion where students openly shared their questions and concerns.
